拉迪亚德·吉卜林是十九世纪末英国诗人，于1907年获得诺贝尔文学奖。这首《如果》是拉迪亚德·吉卜林写给即将奔赴一战战场儿子的励志诗，据说迈克尔·杰克逊的妈妈把它刻在儿子的墓碑上。许多人，特别是青少年常以此勉励自己。

when all about you are losing theirs

and blaming it on you
